Prepare your Canada eSIM before you fly
If your phone supports eSIM, you can prepare your setup without waiting for delivery.
- Order your kini eSIM and choose a mobile plan.
- Connect to Wi-Fi and open your eSIM setup email.
- Follow the instructions to install the eSIM.
- Turn on your kini eSIM when you arrive in Canada.
Installation can be completed overseas, but your kini eSIM can only be activated within Canada.
Each eSIM QR code can only be installed once. Do not delete your installed eSIM, as the same QR code cannot be used to reinstall it.
Get a Canadian phone number for your stay
Both kini physical SIMs and eSIMs come with a Canadian phone number. You will receive an SMS immediately after the kini SIM card connects to Canada Network.
If you purchase the kini SIM card from kini’s website, you will get an email informing your Canadian Phone Number.
Use your local number to contact hotels, landlords, dormitory, schools, employers and other Canadian contacts. Your mobile data also helps you use maps, check transit routes and message family after landing.

Check your phone before ordering
Your phone must be unlocked and compatible with kini’s network.
For eSIM, dial *#06# and look for an EID number. If no EID appears, your device may not support eSIM. Choose “Physical SIM” when exploring mobile plans.
